Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 21 May 2026
Show the ❤️ for Europe is committed to making our online store usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.
1. Our approach
We aim to follow the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the same standard referenced by the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882).
We continue to work on improvements, including:
- Sufficient colour contrast across the site
- Alt text on product and editorial images
- Keyboard navigation through the checkout flow
- Clear, structured headings and consistent labelling
- Mobile and screen-reader compatibility
2. Known limitations
As a small business, we depend in part on third-party platforms (Shopify themes, payment widgets, embedded media, reviews and analytics tools). Some elements may not yet fully meet AA standards. We are working on these progressively.
3. Tell us if something is not working for you
If you cannot access something on our store or have suggestions to make it more accessible, please email contact@showthelovefor.eu. We will do our best to provide the information or service in an alternative format and to fix the underlying issue.
4. Regulatory note
As a micro-enterprise (fewer than 10 employees and annual turnover or balance sheet under €2 million), we are exempt from the full obligations of the European Accessibility Act in respect of services. We have nevertheless adopted this voluntary statement and aim to meet accessibility best practice.
